Around 500 years ago a debate emerged within Christianity around the subject of Predestination versus Free Will. How much does God predestine things to happen? How much of life is scripted and controlled by him? And how much agency do we have to choose the outcomes of our own lives? Is free will just an illusion? Is it possible for God to be completely sovereign and for us to make our own choices at the same time?
