The Far Left have subtly been using language to shape opinion and public discourse over recent decades. For example, after terms like "socialism" and "Marxism" picked up stigma during the Cold War Era, in the 1990s the Left rebranded and started calling themselves "progressives."

"Progress" is a word that suggests looking to the future, advancing toward new horizons, and a better tomorrow. Who can argue with progress? It sounds so positive! And yet the ideas they have pushed through under that banner have not been progressive at all. They've been regressive.
