Our Vision

Mark Fairley
@thefuelproject

The Fuel Project began around 2011 and exists purely to spread the gospel in ever more creative, beautiful, and inspiring ways. Whether that be through books, films, videos, photography, music, art, or anything else, this ministry is to be a source of information, inspiration and most of all, a source of fuel that ignites real change. To-date, 132 people have written to say they became a Christian as a direct result of our work.

I say "our", because as the ministry has grown over the years, volunteers from around the world have joined to help with various facets, making this a truly team effort. Animators, musicians, artists and designers are coming together to offer their services. Indeed, the eventual aim is for The Fuel Project to become a creative hub for all kinds of gospel work, with around 4-5 full-time team members.

Key to this vision is the "Fuel Network", which is continuing to expand in every continent. We are inviting churches and small groups around the world to join this network and to make a commitment to true discipleship. The Bible says we're not just to be hearers of the word, but doers also, so although we love that people are watching our material, we don't want it to stop there. We want to see Christian groups rise up in local communities to apply Biblical principles wherever they live. The Fuel Network acts as an online directory that allows Christians to connect with each other for this purpose.

You'll find out more about this ministry as you go, but if you have any questions, feel free to get in touch using the form below! If you'd like to support this vision, you can also donate or join us on Patreon. If you'd like to volunteer your skills too, please do! We'd' be happy to hear from you.

God bless
Mark Fairley

What We believe

bethany-laird-407583.jpg

1. We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. One God - three Persons.

2. We believe the Bible is divinely inspired, authoritative, sufficient and inerrant.

3. We believe in the virgin birth & the perfect deity and humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ.

4. We believe in the literal death of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross as the only perfect and effective sacrifice for sin, His subsequent burial, literal bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven.

5. We believe in the literal and personal return of Jesus Christ to earth for, and with, true believers in Him.

6. We believe in the fall of man which renders all people sinners before God, necessitating the sacrifice of Christ and the regenerating and sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.

7. We believe that we are justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone.

8. We believe death is not final. There is life after death whereby all will either be raised to life or condemnation.

FAQs

1. Where does the name "Fuel" come from?
The dictionary definition of the word "fuel" is "something that nourishes, sustains or encourages; a stimulant." This perfectly describes what The Fuel Project is all about!

2. What does the logo represent?
So many things. A flame represents light and Christians are called to be light in a dark world. A flame also represents heat, which is a metaphor for passion and fervour - we're never to be lukewarm. A flame also represents discipleship since it replicates itself in everything it touches. Additionally, Hebrews 12:29 tells us that "God is a consuming fire" so the centre of our flame is white, representing God's white hot holiness and centrality to our mission. When the Holy Spirit arrived at Pentecost, it was marked by tongues of fire also. We want our whole ministry to be Spirit led and empowered.

3. Can we make copies of DVDs to hand out for free?
The most important thing is that the information reaches as many people as possible and we'd hate for finances to be a barrier. However, it takes hours, weeks, months and even years of painstaking hard work to research, write and produce these materials. A short 5 minute video can often take days or even weeks to put together. Furthermore, The Fuel Project simply needs financial support to survive and thrive. Every time a series is copied and distributed for free, we're deprived of valuable resources that would help us continue.

In order to balance these two issues then, this is the deal we'd like to make. We would ask you to purchase as many copies of books and DVDs as you can afford to support the ministry, and then, having done so, we give you our blessing to make copies to distribute to friends and family members. How many copies you can afford is a matter for individual consciences before God and will vary from person-to-person. The same goes for digital downloads. If you have paid for a download, feel free to put it on USB sticks and share it with friends.

4. Can I help translate the materials into other languages?
Community Contributions on our YouTube channel have now been switched on. This means that you are free to submit translations on all our videos! Click here for more information on how to do this.

5. Where can I find the occult checklist mentioned in Know Your Enemy?

6. I have a problem with my DVD order. Can you fix it?
Unfortunately not. The DVDs are processed, manufactured and distributed by a partner ministry called The Apologetics Group. Any questions regarding DVD orders however, can be directed to them at theapologeticsgroup@gmail.com. They will be glad to assist and answer any questions you may have.

7. What Bible translation do you use?
Mostly the New Living Translation (NLT) or the English Standard Version (ESV). We also use BibleGateway a lot to check multiple versions so you'll occasionally see others.

8. Why did you quote from that Bible teacher I disagree with?
Quoting another teacher doesn't necessarily indicate approval of that person's entire ministry, or signify complete theological agreement. Indeed, sometimes the use of a quote doesn't even indicate approval of the quote! Generally however, links or quotes from other ministries are posted simply because they offer important insight on a particular topic.
